BOSTON, MASS. Sovereign Bank, a part of Banco Santander, announced that it has signed agreements with Columbia University and Yale University. The bank, through Santander Universities’ Global Division, will provide financial support to the two universities for projects that will advance common goals of expanding knowledge and experience throughout the world.

Yale University President Richard C. The agreements with Santander Universities will support the following projects and initiatives: At Columbia University, the three-year agreement will support the continued development of the Emprendedores Competitivos para Latinoamérica (ECLA) and the Santander Doctoral Fellows programs.
